Air Newport has been reliably operating in the Northeast US since the early 2000’s. Currently Air Newport operates the G36 Beechcraft Bonanza, a single engine aircraft that has always set the standard for comfort and performance. The Bonanza is capable of operating into the smaller more convenient airports in almost any weather condition and our pilots are regularly certified by the FAA to their highest standards. Whether it be a short trip to Block Island or a longer trip to New York City, Bar Harbor, Maine or Washington DC, Air Newport is there to provide you with the convenience of having your own aircraft and the comfort and confidence in knowing that your aircraft is being flown by a highly qualified flight crew.

Beechcraft Bonanza g3

Air Newport operates a single engine Beechcraft Bonanza G36. The Bonanza G36 treats up to five passengers with the most comfortable ride found in any piston-engine aircraft.In air-conditioned comfort, the Bonanza cruises at 180 miles per hour and has a range of 700 miles.



The G36 model of the Bonanza is the most modern variant of the Bonanza and is powered by the Garmin G1000 integrated cockpit avionics which provides your pilot with the most up to date navigation, weather and traffic information. MARK ROMANO

CHIEF PILOT
Mark Romano, is the Chief Pilot for Air Newport and was instrumental in Air Newport’s formation back in 2001. Mark holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate and has accumulated over 14,000 hours of flying experience.
Mark began his aviation career at the age of 16. He obtained his private pilot’s license in 1981 and his commercial license and Certified Flight Instructor rating in 1982 at which time he immediately starting teaching flying in Newport, RI. By 1986 after having earned his bachelor of arts degree, Mark started flying on-demand charters for two companies based in Newport, RI and New Bedford, Massachusetts where he earned the positions of Chief Flight Instructor and Chief Pilot for Nor-East Flight Center. From there Mark moved on to flying for Business Express Airlines, American Eagle Airlines and finally Delta Air Lines. While flying as Captain in the Embraer Regional jets,Mark earned his Juris Doctorate and today, when not flying, he is the managing partner of a successful law practice in Barrington RI.
